The Fendt 1050 Vario is one of the most powerful standard tractors in the world – and rightly so.
Under the hood is the proven MAN D2676 – a robust 6-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 12.4 liters, which already delivers 517 hp ex works. However, as with many modern agricultural machines, emission-related systems and conservative factory tuning prevent the full potential from really being exploited.
With targeted software optimization, we bring out precisely these reserves safely and reliably.
What has been adapted?
✅ Stage 1 power increase
By individually adapting the maps in the BOSCH EDC17CV42 control unit, we were able to increase the engine output from 517 hp to an impressive 590 hp – while maintaining the same reliability and thermal stability.
✅ DEF/AdBlue deactivation
The error-prone AdBlue system (also DEF) has been decommissioned. This means: no more refueling, no refusal to start when the tank is empty, no annoying error messages – maximum operational reliability.
✅ DPF-Off (diesel particulate filter removed)
The diesel particulate filter has been deactivated. This makes forced regeneration and power loss due to exhaust back pressure a thing of the past. This ensures greater efficiency and less downtime.
✅ EGR-Off (exhaust gas recirculation deactivated)
Exhaust gas recirculation has also been deactivated. This keeps the intake tract clean, combustion is more efficient and the engine wears much more slowly – especially under high continuous load.
The result:
The powerful 12.4-liter engine of the Fendt 1050 Vario now delivers a whopping 590 hp – an increase of 73 hp over the standard output.
This is immediately noticeable:
Significantly more dynamic handling – in the field and on the road
More pulling power
Better performance under load
Advantages of optimization
❌ No more AdBlue problems or error messages
❌ No DPF regenerations – less downtime
💪 Significantly more power & efficiency
🛠️ Less maintenance required, longer service life
🚜 Noticeable relief in daily use
